Rohani calls for intensifying dialogue and lifting sanctions on Iran

Iranian president Hassan Rohani in a statement before heading to New York to attend the General Assembly of the United Nations called leaders of Western countries to adopt the path of dialogue and forgiveness instead of sanctions to achieve common interests.

the Iranian president stressed that the sanctions imposed on his country was "unacceptable and illegal," saying it will not help the West to achieve its objectives, stressing that Iran has never sought to acquire weapons of mass destruction, but was the victim of these weapons, and the Iranian people was a victim of international pressure.

In several interviews with the Western media , Rohani stressed his country's readiness for dialogue on its nuclear program ,  and didn't  rule out holding a meeting with U.S. President Barack Obama on the sidelines of the General Assembly in New York.
