Syria’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations "Bashar al-Jaafari" said that some countries continue to address the situation in Syria in a misleading and provocative way using allegations and false accusations that serve the project which supports terrorism and extremism in Syria and the region.
Al-Jaafari speech came during a UN Security Council session held on Monday evening under the theme of "the Situation in the Middle East".
"Some delegations have talked about the situation in Syria in a misleading and provocative way and made use of a number of void accusations and claims that serve the project which supports terrorism and extremism in Syria and the region, al-Jaafari said.
He added that these delegations work to divert the attention from the essence topic of the session which is means of ending the Israeli occupation of the Arab territories.
Al-Jaafari stressed that delegations of those countries touched upon the terrorism on the edge of the Syrian borders from the east, in Iraq, turning a blind eye to the terrorism in Syria despite that the two countries are targeted by the same terrorist organization which is al-Qaeda.
He said that it is shameful for the hypocrisy to continue despite that Syria has provided the UN Security Council with the names of hundreds of terrorists killed on its territories including Saudi, Qatari, Turkish, British, French, Belgian, American, Canadian, Australian, Libyan and Tunisian terrorists.
Al-Jaafari indicated that the western officials see that the return of the western terrorists to their home countries as a problem and unacceptable matter, so they prefer those terrorists to stay in Syria to continue shedding the Syrian blood.
"Interior Ministers of Britain, France and other western countries besides the head of the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) stressed the fear of their countries from the return of the western terrorist to their countries", he added.
He touched upon the sized Turkish trucks that were supposed to be carrying humanitarian aid to Syria, but were in fact filled with weapons and ammunition.
The representative held Israel full responsibility for the consequences of assistance and support it provides for the armed terrorist groups in the Area of Separation (AOS) in the occupied Syrian Golan.
Al-Jaafari pointed out that the suffering of the Syrian citizens under the Israeli occupation of the Syrian Golan is continuous for a half century, as Israeli settlement campaigns are continuous too, causing the Syrian citizens to undergo the worst suppression and racism policies to be added to torture and detention acts.
