Pentagon extends "Patriot's" deployment on the Syrian-Turkish border

The Pentagon confirmed that the United States has decided to extend deploying "Patriot" missiles on the Turkish-Syrian border for another year to protect the Turkish territory from any potential danger from the Syrian side.

The Pentagon noted that U.S Secretary of Defense, Chuck Hagel told that decision to the Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, who is visiting Washington now.

Turkey asked NATO in an earlier time to extend it presence on the Syrian-Turkish border.  NATO oversaw these systems since it was deployed on the Syrian-Turkish border.
