The Guardian: Saudi Arabia will spend millions of dollars to train and equip "Islam Army " in Syria

According to a report issued by "The Guardian" British newspaper yesterday that Saudi Arabia will spend millions of dollars on training and equipping thousands of fighters from the "  Islam Army " who are fighting government forces in Syria, and that training will be supported by Pakistan , and the estimated number of fighters are between 5 thousand and more than 50 thousand fighters . Some diplomats and experts expressed doubts about the prospects of this new group of armed opposition .

  The Guardian" stated , that Saudi intelligence's chief Prince Bandar bin Sultan urged the United States to abandon its refusal to supply anti-aircraft missiles and tanks to " Islam Army ", as efforts had been made to urge Jordan allow using its territory to transport supplies to fighters in Syria . Many diplomatic sources said that Saudi Arabia encourages " Islam Army " to accept the supervision the United States and the Supreme Military Council ,  adding that coordination secret meetings was held in Turkey with Qatari Foreign Minister Khalid al-Attiyah and U.S Ambassador in Syria Robert Ford .
