$ 10 million from Japanese government to Jordan to ease Syrian refugees' problem

Japanese government provided ten million dollars to Jordan in order to help it bears the burden of Syrian refugees .

 In a statement issued by the Ministry of Jordanian Planning , the ministry  said  " a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Jordanian government and Japan at the headquarters of the ministry , in which the Japanese government  will provide Jordan with an emergency grant worth of billion yen ( approximately $ 10.1 million ), as a contribution to ease the burden on the Jordanian government caused by hosting the growing numbers of Syrian refugees  ".


Ibrahim Saif Minister of Planning and International Cooperation signed the memorandum in behalf of the Jordanian government with the Japanese Ambassador in Amman Junichi Kosuge .
 

The statement quoted Saif as saying that he " will use the grant funds in collaboration with the ministry of municipal affairs to buy water and waste compressors used by local communities hosting refugees Syrians".
