Ivanov and Kissinger discuss developing US-Russian relations .

 Presidential Court Chief Sergei Ivanov and former Secretary of  U.S State Henry Kisinger , discussed the development of Russian-American relations 

   Ivanov stressed Kissinger, who is on a visit to Russia that "it can not be said now that the relations between the two countries are going smoothly , except  the last meeting between our presidents in St. Petersburg may showed we can reach a compromise to the  existing differencesin the light of adopting constructive attitudes of complex issues" .  Ivanov said he discussed with U.S first Deputy Foreign Minister George William Burns last week  Russian-American cooperation  and the prospects to develope it , and  Kissinger praised, the role of Russia in world politics , saying " the stable relations between Russia and the United States is a guarantee to stability and tranquility in the entire world ".

He expressed his conviction that all differences that affect the national interests can be overcame ,  adding " our country also believes that direct talks between our presidents are  very good and play a very important role in ensuring peace and stability".
